The Spin and Go format

Objective : Know what you are playing, and what the multiplier changes.

A Spin and Go is a three-player sit and go with a twist: before the first hand, a wheel draws a multiplier that sets the prize pool. Most of the time it lands on x2 or x3, and once in a long while on a jackpot.

Everyone starts with the same stack, 25 big blinds. A whole game rarely lasts more than ten minutes, which is why the format is played in volume: hundreds of games a week for a regular.

Fast blinds

The blinds go up every few minutes: you are never deep. Within a few levels, the stacks are 10 to 15 BB and most decisions come down to going all-in or folding.

Official multiplier table of each room. Pick a room and a buy-in: bars show the multipliers you will actually meet, the table lists them all with the prize per place.

Winner takes all, almost

On the common multipliers, the winner takes the whole prize pool. Second and third get nothing. The losers only get a share on the bigger multipliers: from x10 on Unibet, PokerStars and PartyPoker, from x20 on Betclic, from x100 on Winamax. Those games are 1 % of the total or less, so you can play as if every game were winner take all.

Your long-term result is your ROI: what you win on average per game, as a percentage of the buy-in. Every room keeps 7 % of the buy-ins (8 % on the micro stakes at Winamax and PokerStars), so a 5 % ROI already means you are a solid winning player. Nobody wins every game; a good regular wins a bit more than one game in three.

Which room is the most interesting to play

Five French rooms publish their tables, and they differ more than people think. Two numbers matter to a regular. First, the rake: at 5 € it is 7 % everywhere, nobody is cheaper. Second, where the value sits: a room can promise the same average prize pool while locking part of it in jackpots you will meet once in ten thousand games.

That locked value is the point. If 2 % of the prize money lives in x100 and above, a regular who plays 5,000 games a year will most likely never see it. Their real, reachable ROI is lower than the table suggests, and their swings are bigger.

PMU publishes its table only inside its poker client; it will be added as soon as it has been copied from the lobby.

The five rooms at the same buy-in (€5.00), computed from their official tables.

Winamax has the most x2 games and puts the most value into x100 and above: it is the room where the realistic ROI is furthest below the theoretical one, and where the variance is highest. PokerStars is the opposite: the most games at x3 or more, almost nothing locked in jackpots, and a second place paid from x10. Betclic and Unibet sit in between, with a heavy x4 tier (13 % of games) that makes their average game worth more without touching the jackpots. PartyPoker (Twister) borrows from both sides: the same 13 % of x4 games, a second place paid from x10 like PokerStars, but close to 1 % of the value locked in x100 and above, twice Betclic.

Rake being equal, the multiplier table is second order. What really separates the rooms is who sits at the tables: a room with weaker opponents and enough traffic at your buy-in beats any jackpot structure. That is what the population module of the app measures once you have imported your hands.

Rakeback: the room gives part of the rake back, if you play enough

The rooms give part of the rake back through loyalty programmes, and how much depends almost entirely on your volume. That is the second thing that separates the rooms for a regular, and it weighs more than the multiplier tables. The figure details each programme; here is the logic behind them.

Betclic (Road to Ultime) pays cash, but only from its Star rank: about 750 € of rake a month, or 2,100 games at 5 €. Then 20 %, 28 % and 36 %. PartyPoker (Loyalty Rewards) also pays cash, and from low volumes: 5 % from 20 € of rake a month, 20 % around 1,400 games at 5 €, up to 40 %.

Unibet (Le Club) gives 4 % to everyone and climbs to 42 %, but as bonuses bought with credits and released as you keep generating rake: its percentages are a maximum. Winamax publishes no rate. Its Miles, 4 per euro of rake times the coefficient of your VIP status, buy tournament tickets in the store, 69 Miles for a 1 € ticket. At that price, and with the VIP cash bonuses, they return from 6 % with no status to about 27 % at high volume.

PokerStars.fr had no published programme for Spin & Go in September 2026.

  • Betclic: 1 € of rake = 8 points, paid in cash every 500 points; scale of 1 August 2025.
  • Betclic publishes nothing below the Star rank: counted as 0 % here until it is reached.
  • Unibet: credits per euro of rake from x3 (Newbie) to x12 (Unreal), spent on bonuses cleared in five slices; the rake thresholds are the credit thresholds converted at the multiplier of the previous status.
  • Unibet: reaching a status once at Master or Unreal keeps it for at least a year; the other statuses restart each quarter at the previous quarter’s multiplier.
  • Winamax: 4 Miles per euro of rake in Expresso, times the status coefficient; Miles counted at the store price of tournament tickets (69 Miles for 1 €), plus the VIP cash bonuses unlocked in the month. Statuses are those of a player generating the same rake every month; the annual Diamond statuses take twelve months to build.
  • Winamax also runs daily Expresso leaderboards (10,000 € a day, wins count as points) and temporary promotions such as Expresso Evolution; both depend on results, not on volume alone.
  • PokerStars.fr: no published loyalty programme for Spin & Go in September 2026; the weekly Streaks promotion (up to 180 € cash for 710 € of rake) counts cash game rake in its terms.
  • PartyPoker: 1 Point Statut per euro of rake, Twister included; cash paid every 20 points (1 €, 1.50 €, 2 € at levels 2 to 4), 50 points (10 € at level 5) or 100 points (30 € and 40 € at levels 6 and 7). Level 1 pays freeroll tickets only.
  • PartyPoker: levels 2 to 4 are monthly, levels 5 to 7 quarterly (1,500, 5,000 and 15,000 points), shown here as a third per month; level 4 (500 points a month, 10 %) is superseded at the same volume by level 5 (20 %) and is omitted.

What each room gives back at a given monthly volume, computed from its published tiers and its rake. Pick a buy-in and a volume.

Turn the percentages into ROI: at 7 % rake, 20 % rakeback is worth 1.4 points of ROI, 36 % is worth 2.5 points. In a format where a good regular makes 5 %, the room can be worth as much as your biggest leak, once you have the volume.

Below 1,000 games a month, no room gives back much more than 12 %, and Betclic nothing at all. Between 1,000 and 3,000 games, Unibet, Winamax and PartyPoker return 7 to 24 %, PartyPoker moving to 20 % in cash around 1,400 games, and Betclic starts paying around 2,100 games. From 6,000 games a month, the four programmes return 27 to 35 %, and the form of payment decides: cash at Betclic and PartyPoker, bonuses to clear at Unibet, tickets at Winamax. Pick the room for your real volume, not for the volume you hope to play.
